blog. Below are some sports bear figurines we duplicated using ComposiMold-LT. We used polyurethane as the resin.

This bear figurine mold has also been used for several plaster castings.

Here is a sample of sculpture originally made by Helene Farrar that was duplicated. In the attached
pdf document, we show the process that was used to make this sculpture casting using polyurethane resin.

A ceramic saki cup is used as the master for this molding and casting. The saki cup was sprayed with a mold release, placed on the bottom of a container. ComposiMold was poured over it until it the cup and container were filled. It was placed in the refrigerator to cool faster. The cup was duplicated three times in about 30 minutes from start to finish using ComposiMold-LT and a polyurethane casting material.

The puppy figurines shown below were molded with ComposiMold. The brown puppy in front was cast with a quick set epoxy. The red puppy was cast with the same epoxy with food coloring added. The white puppy was cast with a flexible silicone. The original is shown on the right. We have also made a plaster and concrete dog duplicate using the same mold.

Here is a bear that was molded using ComposiMold-LT. Below is a casting made with polyurethane. The mold was also used to make several plaster castings of the bear figurine.
Here's an example of some polyurethane mugs made from a ComposiMold flexible mold. These mugs are only about an inch tall. A plastic cup was used as the mold container to hold the melted ComposiMold.

These little polyurethane dog figurines were made using ComposiMold molds. The original plastic parts were placed in a container, sprayed with a mold release, and covered with ComposiMold. After the ComposiMold solidified, the original was removed. To remove, the ComposiMold was sliced along the dogs belly (no dogs were hurt) using a razor blade. The original was removed. The ComposiMold mold was sprayed with mold release. The casting resin was poured in through the dogs feet.
Rock wall parts were made using real rocks, ComposiMold, casting materials and filler materials. Casting materials included polyurethane, epoxy, and concrete. Fillers included sand and gravel. For more detailed description,

We made this model airplane propeller using polyurethane. This was a difficult piece to mold because the edges were higher in the middle than the center.

Another example can be seen in some of the work by Randy Regier, artist, college teacher, and recipient of Maine's Art Fellowship award. Randy used ComposiMold-LT to make a rocketship pin for his American Dream Technical Institute Project and to teach in his art class at Bowdoin College
Randy Regier of Portland Maine for American Dream Technical Institute.
The Bowdoin students made some amazing art pieces using imaginary stories.
